Mr. Marchand is senior partner and Vice-President of Groupe conseil CODE6. He is known for his business sense, his devotion to clients and his energy. With 25 years of experience in the field of IT, Mr. Marchand brings expertise in international business and knowledge of market needs to the group. During the past years, Mr. Marchand held the position of senior vice-president of Cognicase. He managed the company's offices in Spain and Belgium, which involved more than 100 people. Cognicase was bought by CGI in January 2003 through a public offer to purchase. Previously, Mr. Marchand was president and senior shareholder of SODEFI Informatique. He worked for eight years at the IT consulting firm. It was bought by Cognicase in 2002. SODEFI has always been recognized for the quality of its services and its activities with large organizations in Montreal. Over the years, Mr. Marchand teamed up with invaluable partners, and together they quickly reached annual sales of $9 million and employed more than 80 people. Mr. Marchand started his career as a computer specialist and then moved on to be a data administrator. He successfully held a variety of technical and management positions with companies such as Alcan and the mining company Québec-Cartier. He then moved into consulting, and carried out marketing and business development activities for two IT consulting firms. Mr. Marchand holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance.
